Studio & Operations Assistant (Part-Time, Hybrid)

Clapham, London

We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-focused Studio & Operations Assistant to join our small team at Syl’a’Vie Swimwear, a London-based handmade fashion brand.

This is a hybrid role combining remote admin support with in-studio assistance, ideal for someone reliable, consistent and takes pride in their work.

This is not a casual role, we’re looking for someone who wants to become a valued part of the business, with the potential to grow into more hours, responsibility and a full-time position on payroll as the team expands.

The role involves:

  • Managing customer emails and social media messages (remote)

  • Keeping the inbox clear, organised and responded to daily

  • Flagging priority orders and urgent requests

  • Labelling, packing and preparing orders to a high standard

  • Ensuring all packaging is clean, consistent and visually perfect

  • Maintaining a tidy, organised studio space at the end of each day

We place a huge emphasis on presentation, packaging is just as important as the garment itself and must be handled with care and attention to detail.

Working structure:

  • Approx. 2 to 3 hours per weekday

  • Morning (remote): 1 to 1.5 hours for emails/messages (to be completed before midday)

  • Late afternoon/early evening (in studio): 1 to 1.5 hours for packing and studio reset

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong written communication skills (clear, friendly and professional)

  • Excellent attention to detail and a perfectionist approach to tasks

  • Highly organised and able to work independently

  • Reliable and consistent with availability

  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-presented workspace

  • Based locally to Clapham and able to attend the studio regularly

  • Previous experience in admin, retail, e-commerce or a small business is preferred

Important:

This role requires consistency and reliability each weekday. It is best suited to someone with a stable schedule who can commit to set working times.

Pay:

£14 per hour

(Self-employed basis initially, with potential to move onto payroll as the role grows)
