We’re looking for a highly skilled, detail-driven, and experienced machinist to join our growing clothing and swimwear brand. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with strong technical ability who is confident working independently as well as within a small, growing team.

This position is best suited to someone with proven industry experience, who understands garment construction inside and out and is excited to contribute to the development of new ideas and products.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Confidently using industrial sewing machines, including overlocker, coverstitch, and straight stitch machines

  • Ability to rethread machines, troubleshoot minor issues, and work efficiently without supervision

  • Strong working knowledge of Jack and Juki industrial machines (this is essential)

  • Constructing garments from start to finish to a high standard

  • Assisting with pattern cutting, sampling, and product development

  • Helping bring new collections to life, from early concepts through to final pieces

  • Confidently hemming and finishing garments neatly and intricately, including fine and lightweight fabrics

  • Supporting swimwear production (experience with swimwear construction is essential)

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and tidy workspace

  • Being fabric-conscious, minimising waste and working carefully with materials

  • Managing time effectively and supporting a smooth studio workflow

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Has relevant professional industry experience in sewing and garment construction

    (minimum 2–3 years required)

  • Is confident working independently and does not require ongoing technical training

  • Has strong fabric knowledge, particularly stretch, woven, and delicate fabrics

  • Has experience or a strong understanding of swimwear construction

  • Is comfortable contributing ideas and supporting the development of new designs

  • Is tidy, methodical, and mindful when working with fabric, avoiding unnecessary waste

  • Has a perfectionist’s eye and takes pride in precision and finish

  • Is reliable, organised, and able to meet production targets

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to provide valid documentation. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who are unable to do so.

  • This is a skilled role, and we are specifically looking for someone with relevant, hands-on industry experience. Please do not apply if you are still training or unable to confidently work on industrial machines.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, female-led, handmade brand and play a key role in supporting both production and product development.

If this sounds like your kind of role, we’d love to hear from you.
