FREELANCE FASHION CONTENT CREATOR — PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & EDITING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
£18 per hour
Freelance / self-employed basis
3 days per week
8-hour days, including a 30-minute paid lunch break
Hybrid role, mainly based in our Clapham studio
Clapham, South London — 15-minute walk from Clapham Junction
Syl’a’Vie Swimwear is looking for a creative, fashion-focused content creator to help elevate the brand across social media, campaigns, shoots, behind-the-scenes content, organic content and paid ads.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone with strong photography, videography and editing skills. We are not looking for someone who simply “likes social media” — we are looking for someone who can confidently create content, capture strong visuals, edit photo and video assets, understand trends, and help bring the Syl’a’Vie brand world to life.
Syl’a’Vie is a handmade swimwear and holidaywear brand based in London. We are building a more elevated, lifestyle-led brand identity around girls’ trips, holidays, beach clubs, summer dressing, handmade pieces and confident, feminine styling. We need someone who understands this direction and can help us create content that feels stylish, aspirational, natural and on-brand.
This role will mainly be based in our studio, with some remote editing/planning where suitable. You must be UK-based, have the legal right to work in the UK, and be able to travel to our Clapham studio regularly.
THE ROLE:
-
Capturing behind-the-scenes content in our studio
-
Filming and editing Reels, TikToks and short-form video
-
Taking and editing photo content for Instagram, TikTok, website and ads
-
Joining campaign/content shoots when needed to capture BTS and social-first content
-
Helping create content for organic social and paid ads
-
Capturing product details, studio processes, packing, try-ons and lifestyle content
-
Helping plan weekly content ideas and campaign concepts
-
Staying on top of trends and knowing how to adapt them to the Syl’a’Vie brand
-
Helping organise content folders, footage, image selections and weekly content plans
-
Supporting the overall visual direction and lifestyle-led feel of the brand
-
Bringing creative ideas to the table rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-
Minimum 2+ years of experience creating social-first content, fashion content, photography, videography, editing or similar
-
Strong portfolio/examples of photo and video content required
-
Confident filming and editing short-form content
-
Strong eye for fashion, lifestyle, swimwear, styling and visual storytelling
-
Experience using editing tools such as CapCut, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar
-
Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, paid ad creatives and current social trends
-
Comfortable capturing content on iPhone and/or camera
-
Able to create content that feels elevated, not overly staged or basic
-
Able to work independently and take ownership of creative tasks
-
Highly organised with content, files, deadlines and weekly planning
PLEASE NOTE:
-
This is not a junior social media assistant role
-
This is not a role for someone with no portfolio or no content experience
-
You must be confident creating both photo and video content
-
You must be able to edit both photo and video content
-
You must be able to work from our Clapham studio regularly
-
You must be UK-based and have the legal right to work in the UK
-
You must be able to provide a CV and portfolio/examples of previous work
-
Applications without examples of content, photography or video work will not be considered
WHAT YOU GET:
-
£18 per hour on a freelance/self-employed basis
-
3 days per week
-
8-hour working days, including a 30-minute paid lunch break
-
Hybrid working, with a mix of studio-based content days and remote editing/planning where suitable
-
Opportunity to help shape the visual direction of a growing fashion brand
-
Hands-on involvement in shoots, campaigns and new collections
-
Creative freedom to bring ideas and help elevate the brand
-
Small, female-led studio environment
-
Potential for the role to grow as the brand grows
-
Staff discount on Syl’a’Vie pieces
This is a great opportunity for someone who understands fashion, lifestyle content and brand storytelling, and wants to play a key role in helping elevate a growing handmade swimwear and holidaywear brand.
If you have strong photography, videography and editing skills, a good eye for trends, and understand the kind of elevated brand world we are building at Syl’a’Vie, we would love to hear from you.
To apply, please send your CV, portfolio/examples of photo and video content you have created, your availability, where you are based, and a short note explaining why you think you would be a good fit for Syl’a’Vie.
